Growing up, my brother, who is on the autism spectrum, faced daily challenges that many people never even think about. One of the biggest hurdles for him was clothing. Sensory issues made textures, seams, and stiff fabrics a daily source of anxiety and discomfort. Something as simple as getting dressed in the morning could feel overwhelming for him. I remember countless mornings filled with tears and frustration as he struggled with shirts that were too scratchy or tags that irritated his skin.
